The Cobra replicar I have for sale uses a Morrison body. It has small flare lips on the rear wheel openings and big humps on the front ones. The car is painted charcoal (almost black) with silver metallic, hand rubbed and buffed to a HIGH luster finish. The underbody is fully coated using 3M spray-on undercoat with double coats inside the wheelhouses. The footboxes are covered with hi-temp 'glass insulation to reflect the headers' heat. The entire body is 'glassed as a unit with only the hood and scoop, the lockable trunk lid, the 2 doors, and the tranny hump being separate. The trunk is large enough to house the low profile spare tire and have space left over for storage. The cockpit fits a 6+ foot person.

The engine is a Ford 351 Cleveland. EVERYTHING in & on it is brand new except for the block, heads, crank, rods, and dampener. The pistons are forged TRW's. The heads are Boss 4-V's with BIG ports, steel valves, springs, retainers, and keepers. The cam is a hydraulic Competition Cams #280H with new lifters and adjustable rocker arms. A 4-barrel Holley #3310 with electric choke and Cobra aircleaner sits on an Edelbrock #2665 manifold. The MSD #6200 triggers the MSD Blaster 2 coil leading to the MSD vacuum distributor. The eight 2" headers and the 2 collectors are 'Jet Hot' coated and feed into 3.5" chrome stacks with removable glass-pack mufflers. The engine has a hi-capacity oil pump with baffling in the pan, a new water pump, a new voltage regulator, and an overhauled alternator. The valve covers are heavy aluminum that have blank spots for engraving your name on them. A 4-tube custom made radiator with a Scott high-powered electric fan cools the engine. The fan has 2 thermostats to insure that it comes on when needed. The engine can be removed from the car with the tranny attached. The 'clutch pedal interlocked' rebuilt starter is hooked to a new battery that has a kill switch on it. The battery sits in front of the dampener.

The tranny is a Ford 4-speed toploader with chrome Hurst shifter. It has been overhauled with new bearings, synchros, and seals. It is fed from a new CenterForce clutch with a new throwout bearing inside a new Lakewood blast shield. The tranny mounts on a removable crossmember that allows it to be dropped out from the underside of the car. The new custom made driveshaft has 2 safety hoops to catch it if its U-joints ever break.

The frame is built from 2" by 4" tubing with 2" by 2" outrigger framing. It has a 4" wide crossmember inside the body right behind the rear firewall for the chrome roll bar mounting. The entire frame is covered with 2 coats of DP-90 epoxy, as are all the undercar parts. The gas tank, also 3M coated, sits under the trunk and feeds a new mechanical fuel pump. The right rear fender mounted gas tank filler is a big 'snap open' unit. A 9" Ford rear with 3.56 gears attaches with a 5-bar multi-adjustable suspension and Aldan steel coilover adjustable shocks. All 4 brakes have new seals, bearings, and linings, with drums in the rear and discs in the front. The car has a new Master Power brand brake cylinder and proportioning valve with dash warning light to indicate brake malfunction or if the parking brake is used. The front suspension is Mustang II with new rubber bushings, new Monroe shocks, and has an anti-roll bar. The polished override bumpers are frame mounted and can be used to jack the car. The horizontal rear tube bumper is chromed.

The interior is upholstered with black vinyl on the 2 moveable seats, doors (with map pockets) and padded dash. It has black carpet on the floor, tranny hump, and rear firewall. The dash has 7 VDO gauges (including an adjustable speedo!) and all the needed warning lights with turn & hazard signals. There is a heater mounted behind the dash. A small fire extinguisher is in the right footbox. The dash has a cigar lighter and a small glove box. There is an air vent that directs outside air to the driver's feet. The steering column tilts and has the correct type Grant steering wheel. The column-locking ignition key can only be removed after the tranny is shifted into reverse. The wipers are 2-speed. The entire wiring system is multi-fused for safety. The seat belts with retractors are bolted to the frame. The chrome windshield posts are 1/4" steel bolted to a 2" by 2" frame just under the cowl. This 2" by 2" frame bolts to the main frame to insure no 'cowl shake' in this Cobra replicar! There are tinted sunvisors and clear wind 'batwings' on the car. This windshield and frame are the ones that the Cobra replicar industry uses, so replacement glass or fitting a soft top would be no problem. New stainless steel top bows slip-mount into the body. I will include old plastic side windows and their frames and an old soft top that you can use as a pattern for a new one.

The car has been Highway Patrol inspected and is titled in North Dakota. It needs a new owner who wants a 'bad boy's' car to manhandle as long as his driver's license lasts.

I am pricing it now for $25,000. If you can find a 'badder' AND lower priced Cobra, I suggest that you buy it now! The wheels are 15" Keystones, but the tires are NOT 'speed rated,' so buy new ones before you find out how fast this car will go!
